Two new patients tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Tamil Nadu on Saturday, according to the state's National Health Mission.
.patients is a 49-year-old man who had travelled from the West Indies and is currently under treatment at the Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital.
The second patient is another 49-year-old man who had returned from the United Kingdom and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Vellore.
both patients had travelled abroad and had transit flight via the Middle East.
Local authorities confirmed that the patients are insolation and are currently stable.
With this, the number of coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu has risen to 40, including six foreigners.
The number of Covid-19 cases climbed to 903 in India on Saturday with the death toll rising to 20, according to the Union Health Ministry.
